Tex Mex Stack

Image
Found this in an old Better Homes and Gardens from July 1993 catty.  I changed it a little. 1 cup cooked chicken 1 cup finely chopped and peeled jicama(like I could find that in AR) jar of pace picante sauce 16 10in flour tortillas 1 6oz container of guacamole 2 cups lettuce 1 16oz can of refried beans 1 8oz carton of sour cream 1 red chopped bell pepper 1/3 cup of green onion 1 package of cheese it calls for olives but I didn't use it cause I don't like it I cooked the chicken, at the end put in half of a jar of pace, just enough to cover the chicken.  (By itsself that tasted great!!!!!) On a plate put one toritilla, put some of the chicken, and pace.  I added some cheese here too but recipe didn't call for it. Another tortilla put on guac. and put this on top face down on the chicken. On top of that add lettuce ( I think next time I'll skip the lettuce) Another tortilla add beans Add another toprtilla, top with sour cream, bell pepper,

CD Bowls

Image
We saw a pin on pinterest the other day about making CD Bowls.  Original website is: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=168051.0 So we decided to try them...have no idea what to use them for.  We decided to make the one two three cup cake recipe someone e-mailed me.  (mix one box of angel food cake, one box of any cake mix you want, three teaspoons of the mix, two teaspoons of water, and one minute in the microwave.) When that was done we put it on the clear cd bowl. I want to paint these and maybe use them for a jewlery holder or something.  Anyone have any better ideas?

Mini Scrapbook Album

Image
Got this link today to create mini scrapbooks and thought I'd try it. http:// teresacollins.typepad.com/ teresa_collins/2012/02/ feb-20th-simple-matchbook-mini- album.html I used a scrap 12x12 paper, a piece of Reflections green cardstock, ribbon, butterfly charms, mini dots to look like brads, and velcro for the closure.  All bought at Michaels.

Walking In Their Footsteps

Using the Cricut Lyrical Letters, I cut out the title, and put on the wall in brown vinyl.  This wall has old family documents such as marriage certificates, citizenship records, old family pictures, and pictures of old family homes.

Used the Cricut, Lyrical Letters for Robins name.  Scanned (cough cough) her ribbon she wore that day.  Used black cardstock and Recollections Girly Cardstock Stack.
