Precious Moments Chapel

Image
One of my fave things to do, when we go to MO, is go to Carthage.  Home of the Precious Moments Chapel.  Absolutely beautiful!!! For this page, used old postcards I bought there I think in 96 and saved them to scrapbook and never did.  So yeahhhh for SMASHING!!!!  This is in the red/orange pocket style book.  I just covered the pockets with paper. I also used some of the paper I won from Heartfelt Creations!

End of the World - SMASH Page in the Mod Book

Image
OK I"m a little late...but saved all these images off the net and some card a guy gave me to smash this page.  Finally got to it.  Still laughing at the Dinosaur Pic cause every time I see it on Facebook, I laugh. I also used some washi to make little flip outs and the pic of our fried ice cream we splurged on at dinner.

Garbage Pail Kids - Retro SMASH Book

Image
I found some new Garbage Pail Kids at Rite Aid one day, just had to get them.  If I would have kept all my old ones, I could have filled up 5 smash books!  Wish I still had them.  I downloaded the one with my name and my best friend in grade schools name and used the stickers, the packages and a We R Memory Makers journal card for the top right.  The title was printed on photo paper off the net.  SO much fun, so many memories with these silly things.

Retro Blue SMASH Book

I bought a coupon holder for a buck at the dollar store.  I covered it with We R Memory Keepers journalling cards.  I did journaling on why some of the pics are hidden.  Bad memories but not bad enough to throw away...I'm sure ya'll have some of those too right? lol I cut out from the journal cards the arrows to make it look like washi and the Hello thought bubble.

Flip Thru of my 365 SMASHbook

Image
Here is a video by request of my 365 SMASH Book.  The 365 book is all the holidays in the year.  Or about 4 pages per month.  I ran out of pictures and did end up gluing with my tape runner a couple pages together.  I used SMASH brand tabs on each page, pockets, clear picture holders, anything I could find to make it interactive and fun.  Tons of WASHI,  A Creative Journey with Melissa  stamps on a page. This was very fun to do and I started last year, slowly worked on it, and finished it on 5/22/14. Thank you for watching https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V60BT-__oqQ&feature=youtu.be

I have an addiction to SMASHbooks!  I have about 25.  Finallllllllllly finished my first one!  I did have to end up using my tape runner to glue pages together.  I was out of pictures, the book doesn't close, and I loooove it!

SMASH! Journal K&Company - International (Yellow) Book - Vegas

Image
I love the Int'l SMASHbook.  I don't travel overseas but its perfect for my little trips in the USA!  Vegas is only 4 hours away and would love to spend more time there.  We have been three times.  I wanted to do some messy smashing and it felt great to use up old stickers and some of the extenders I bought a ton of on sale.  I found the Las Vegas post its at a gas station and just had to buy them for journaling or to use the graphics.  Some of the paper came from a scrapbook store called Scrappin Time in Vegas!  and I almost can't do a page without doing a flip up of some sort.  So fun to have interactive pages!  Thanks for looking!

Travel SMASHbook - Hoover Dam

Image
We went to Hoover Dam in December 2012.  AMAZING - if you ever get a chance, stop by.  It is really beautiful.  I just had to SMASH it of course!   I bought a few post cards and cut one up that had several pics of the Dam and the top of the postcards had the Hoover Dam title, so I use those too.  I used 4 different washi tapes.  Cut up one of them because I loved the postage stamp images. The second picture is showing how I use flip ups.  I buy the 10 pack in the photo dept. of Wal Mart for .97 and attach by using my tape runner and cover with washi tape.  I do use my tape runner on the back of the washi just for more stability and sometimes, washi does come off after a while.  I'm really happy with these pages....such great memories!

The Chandelier Tree in LA - SMASH Page in Travel Book

Image
I heard about this tree full of Chandeliers in LA, on TV.  I just knew I had to go there and knew I had to use this page in my Travel SMASHbook for the pics from going.  Didn't know when we would get to go and was in town for dinner.  I said I wonder how far the Chandelier Tree is?  20 Minutes later we were there.  It was beautiful and magical and I want to go back again!  The neighborhood was gorgeous and felt like I was in another country not California! I used some Teresa Collins journal cards and left the white around most the pics cause I just dig the look.

Christmas Smashbook

Don't forget to include you dog in your holiday book!  I bought my dog Tink a cute little Mrs. Clause dress about 5 years ago and get it out every year. I was in a swap a while back and someone made this gorgeous card.  I used it for journallin about my dog and just had to smash it, it was so cute. I used Simple Stories christmas papers and some misc. stickers to finish off the page.

Mothers Day Present

Image
My mom has everything she wants so she is kinda hard to buy for. Someone had posted a pillow she had made for her mother with her Cricut and I decided to make it but in a picture frame. I just used scrapbook paper in a frame.  Then with brown Cricut Vinyl, cut out Mother with the Artbooking Cartridge but I welded the letters in Cricut Craft Room.  Then I used the years my brother sisters and I were born. I made the same thing for my mans mom too.  They were a hit! I also made matching cards with the scrap paper.
