Orange is the New Black - SMASH Page

Image
I'm mad at Getglue for not having physical stickers anymore but glad I was able to get all of the stickers for one of my favorite shows!  I used my Creative Memories circle cutter to cut the circles for the stickers out perfectly. I made the background paper by cutting up a piece of black 12x12 paper and adding to orange 12x12.  I used my tape runner to attach file folders to the outside of the page protecter and went thru all my magazine rip outs I've been saving about the show. I had exactly enough.  I downloaded a typewriter font for the journalling and found the I Love Orange is the New Black on the web and added it to the journalling. I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!  Been re watching it all day.  The one liners are hilarious.  This ended up being 6 pages with everything I had saved on the show. First two pages.  Then these open to reveal 4 pages on the inside.  All 4 pages.  Close up of 3 and 4  Close up of 5 and 6

New Iphones SMASH page!

Image
We had to get new iphones because mine died. OUCH!  But we found a great deal at TMobile and I decided to smash about it. Used up some things from the Target Dollar Spot I bought last year and cut up the brochures and bag from TMobile.  I had already had the nerd folders from Wal MArt in the 25 cent section in my book.  Love I'm finally using them up!  Used the card for hidden journalling

A Christmas Story - SMASH Page

Image
I have to say thanks to my Dad for letting me rip some of these pics out of one of his favorite  magazines.......ohhh he didn't want me to.  BUT Of course, I smiled real big, batted my eyelashes, and got my way!!! lol Then I scored on the stickers at Wal Mart, they only had one package, BUT there were two sheets in, so I can add a page later on to my Christmas only book. Yesterday went to the post office, all Christmas Cards were 50% off, and scored on a box of 18 Christmas Story cards for $8 bucks. I also cut up my old VHS cover of the movie.  I have it on DVD and DVR but could never throw away my original VHS! I used two file folders, so I could use the picture of the house.  Those two pages open to show 4 more pages.  I LOVE how it turned out!!!! I made the Shoot Yer Eye Out Kid with a stamp I got in the dollar bin at Michaels, film roll washi tape, and old Making Memories letter stickers. Close up of the inner pages

IKEA - SMASHbook Page

Image
I had bought some nerd folders on sale at Walmart for a quarter last year and attached to pages in the purple pocket book. The opposite page is about my mans nerd store, Fry's, so I smashed my nerd side IKEA.  Which I have a love hate relationship with!

Love is in the air and Smells Like Coffee - Cricut

Image
I started to decorate the wall by our coffee maker, over a year ago!  UGHH.  Always had the bottom frame empty.  Finallllllllly finished it today. I bought coffee gift wrap from TJMax I think it was for 99 cents and used it as a background. Used my Love You a Latte Cricut Cartridge and Lyrical Letters.  For the little heart, I used the Artiste cartridge. My wall is FINALLLLLLLLLLY Complete!!!

Hugs and Kisses Jar

Image
I used my Cricut and the Phrases cartridge for this.  I used three different vinyl colors, pink, black, and red.   You have to have the transfer tape to get the layers right and I still kinda messed up.  It looks so pretty sitting on the counter though, so looove layering vinyl!  I added some old ribbon I had and some candy.

K&Company SMASH Nostalgia Folio - Laura Ingalls Wilder Pages

Image
In 1987 My family and I went to De Smet, SD to watch the Laura Ingalls Wilder Pageant .  I have saved these pictures and found the brochure.  At a thrift store, I found a book with memorabilia about her and her family.  I have NEVER cut a book before and can not believe I actually cut things out of one.  Just glad, mostly the front paper covering the book. Such great memories of her books and the TV Show.  My Dad would read them to me before I went to sleep and my Mom and I would watch the show together.  I still do, all these years later on reruns. I always wanted to be Laura when I grew up! On the first page, I used a cuttlebug embossing folder, and then an off brand embossing folder for the hidden journalling.

Battle of the Sexes - SMASHbook Page

Image
Yesterday at the 99cent store, found some awesome finds!!!  I saw this little card game and thought maybe we would have fun with it. 30 minutes unplugged time! No iphone, ipad, laptop, TV, just us playing the game.  I had to SMASH it! Love SMASHing and using up pictures that I wasn't able to use anywhere else or even remember where we were when the picture was taken.

Visiting Grandma

Image
Used Heartfelt Creations paper, stamp, and dies for this layout.  I need some markers so used what I had on hand and colored in with ink from a stamp pad and used a qtip to do the shading.  I also used my Cricut and made two frames but cut the second one to make a different border for the other picture.  This paper is so pretty and feels good!  Colors are amazing!

Image
OK I have been on a diet since the end of last year....I'm constantly weighing myself.  Gonna try to only weigh on Sunday mornings. I used my Lyrical Letters Cartridge on the Cricut and used Oracal Vinyl for the words. Looks so cute in my bathroom now.

Zebra Note Cards - Love Struck 2010 Cricut Cartridge

Image
The Love Struck 2010 Cricut Cartridge showed up in my CCR this week!  I knew I had to make a bunch of cuts with Valentines Day right around the corner. I scored on some zebra cards at staples and blinged them out, added ribbon, and loooved playing with the zebra hearts on this cartridge!

Create a Critter 2 Cricut Cartridge - Bananas 4 U

Image
I used the Create A Critter 2 Cricut Cartridge for the words and monkey.  Fancy Frames Cartridge for the frame. I made two and then thought to double emboss!  The red is embossed with the Cuttlebug V-Day Candy Hearts Folder.  The yellow card was embossed with the polka dots folder.

K&Company® | International SMASH Folio - Subway Page

Image
I never ever thought I'd be able to use these pages.  Thought I'd have to go to New York to ride a subway!  Who knew LA has a subway!  lol.  I was scared, not gonna lie.  But I'll do this again.  Don't have to search for parking or pay an arm and a leg for parking. We took silly pictures documenting our trip.  Two of us had been and two of us not.  I grabbed some pamphlets and used the map as a pocket envelope.  The tag is from a Paris set of stationary I bought at TJ Max a couple weeks ago.  I cut up some of the pictures from the pamphlets and used my travel washi tape and some extra travel stickers I had.  I had to add a page in the middle with the strips, love those things.  I used Tim Holtz paper for the middle page and the ticket.

Dear Santa SMASH Book Page using A Creative Journey with Melissa Stamp

Image
Used the frame and date from  A Date to Remember  stamp set.  Only $14.95 and awesome deal because it is so versatile!  Can't wait to play with the frames more!!! I used many different paper stacks for these pages in the Christmas SMASH Book.  The buttons from JC Penny they gave out in 2012 and I received in a RAK. Love how the frame highlights the date and even more important, we actually celebrated Christmas on Christmas Day this year!

Date to Remember Stamp Set - A Creative Journey with Melissa

Image
I had the pleasure of using the  Date to Remember  stamp set from A Creative Journey with Melissa.  Awesome deal for only $14.95 I loooove how unlike a roll stamp, I can put the stamp, and dates where ever I want.  I love it is a little more spread out and the frames are wonderful!!! I did two SMASHbook pages so far with the set. I had bought a new comforter set and new curtains for our bedroom.  Not even gonna tell you how long it took me to decide on one, then had to find curtains, and the curtain rods! lol.  I used the cricut for the title and the chandeliers.  The journal cards are from We R Memory Keepers, purchased from Target!  I saved the cardboard from the set.  My parents came over to help and we love that commercial where the guy pulls in the driveway, his wife says her mom is there, and he backs out.  Then she texts him and over the speakers says, "Honey where the beep are you going?"  So now I text that to my man when my parents are over. lol
