HP Envy 5530 Best and Cheapest Photo Printer Ever

Image
I am always on the lookout to save money on my crafting.  My printer cost me about $60 just for the color and another $30 or $40 for the black ink.  I don't like printing just 4x6 because with SMASHing, I like printing wallets and 3x5's.   I was on a website where someone was talking about printing 150 pages for $4.99 a month.  I was like NO WAY!  So did some research and it is TRUE!  I went to Best Buy and they had it for $149 but I price matched with the HP website and got mine for $99.00.  Then I purchased my first month of ink for $4.99. The printer comes with ink so I started printing and couldn't believe the stunning colors.  In a few days,  more ink came in the mail.  I hadn't even ran out of the black ink yet!  It is amazing!  Best thing I have ever bought.  I took pictures of printables off the net and my pictures of the pictures don't even do the colors justice! Just wanted to share with my fellow pa...

Retro Blue SMASH Book - Flip Thru and Pictures

Image
Almost finished with my Retro Blue SMASH, saving a couple pages for future trips I have planned in my head. These pages I did yesterday and the video of the whole book is at the end. Thanks for looking.

Nostalgia Style - SMASHBook - Candy Store

Image
Last year Sean and I went to the Five and Dime Candy Store in Lancaster, CA.  It is soooo cute and tons of things you can't find anywhere else.  Wonka Bars, Scrumdiddlyumptious Bars, Taffy, Coke in a bottle etc. I saved my Chocolate wrapper and cut out the image off our taffy bag we filled up! I used my Cricut Cartridge Sweet Shop for the embellishments.  I used We R Memory Keepers 2x4 Journal Cards under my picture for journalling about our day...might add some ribbon not sure yet. I love how this turned out and love to work in this book, so much fun.  One of my faves!

Peggy Sue's Retro SMASH Book

Image
Love going to Peggy Sue's on the way to Vegas!  We took pics with Elvis and thought the Knock Knock who's there its Elvis page in the Retro Book  would be perfect for these pics!  I forgot to take pics of the hidden journalling.

SMASH Page - Voting

Image
I'm just a little late making this page.  I had made the Obama and Mitt cut outs on my Cricut in 2012 but couldn't find them, so never got around to making the page until yesterday. Went thru all my magazine rip outs for SMASHING and found them. I had found some political playing cards, magazine cut outs about voting, a screenshot when Obama was reelected, and wrote about how I couldn't vote that year because I had moved. Not even a politics person but it was so big that year, thought it was important to document.  The Cricut cuts were so fun to do too!

Marilyn Monroe - SMASH Page

Image
I had several pics of different trips to Hollywood Blvd. with me putting my hands in Marilyn Monroe's hands in Cement outside the Chinese Theatre. I had saved some postcards and printed things off the net for this page.  I also bought some Marilyn Monroe cards in the dollar section of Michaels.  Used them to hide the journalling and add a couple more pics. LOOOVE how this came out.  Pictures are from 1997, 2008, and 2012.

Bass Pro, Springfield, MO - Scrapbookpage

Love going to Bass Pro in Springfield!  Try to go every time I go to MO to visit.  This was from a trip in December of 2008.  So pretty at Christmas!!!

Silver Dollar City SMASHbook Pages and Scrapbook Pages

Image
These pictures are from 2008 and finally got them documented.  I had enough for a layout in my travel smashbook and a few 12x12 pages.  Loving my 12x12 layouts are looking smashy as well. If you ever get to Branson, MO, Silver Dollar City is a must have.  So much fun!  Also, very nice scrapbook store in town, forget the name right now though.  It is where I got the Silver Dollar City and Branson papers.

Sunrise Service - SMASH Book Page

Image
I walked to Sunrise Service Easter 2014.  Beautiful setting in the desert and wonderful service.  I took a few pictures and printed some images I found online. I used my Cricut Artbooking cartridge for the sun overlay, some old cloud paper, my Simple Style SMASH Book, and  A Creative Journey with Melissa - Words of God Stamps . I stamped on creme cardstock and used pop dots for the center.  I also used the other cross stamp from the set for the Easter 2014 title, and two of the verses I stamped right on the page. Love how this came out!  These stamps were perfect for this page but also cards and church functions.

Titanic SMASH Book Page and Scrapbook Page

Image
I have been hoarding onto these pictures and ticket stubs since 2008.  I was chicken to do them and that the perfect paper would come along.  Well I had the perfect papers in my stash already.  I used some Tim Holtz Paper, some MAMBI Shabby Chic line, and misc. papers. I did the SMASH Page first in the Int'l Book because I wanted to save my passport and ticket in that book. Then I scrapbooked.  Can't remember the last time I did a 12x12 layout, let alone 5 of them.  I forget the name brand of the 3D sticker sheet but bought this at R Scrapbook Store in Sioux Falls, SD and loooved using the pop dots to add dimension.

Maleficent - SMASH Book Page

Image
I found some images on Pinterest - I have them saved in my Pinterest Board if you need some printables to do your own page. http://www.pinterest.com/tinksmom93534/books-movies-and-music/ We went on June 2, 2014 and I really loved it.  Can't wait to watch it again!

Couture SMASHbook - Nails

Image
I took pictures for a while of all my pedi's and my nails.  Finalllly got inspired when I was on Pinterest and saw these free printable journaling cards with zebra. http://www.vintageglamstudio.com/2013/09/03/free-printable-download-zebra-print-project-life-journaling-cards/ I used one of the pages in the Couture SMASH book and covered one side with some old Teresa Collins Pink Zebra Transparency from her Freestyle line.  Love how this turned out.

Knotts Berry Farm - SMASH Page

Image
Simple page from a trip to Knotts in January - Gotta Love Season Passes!!!  I found some post it pads with Peanuts and a memo pad and cut them up to use on a page and for journalling.

I Love to Travel - SMASH Page

Image
I believe this is Bo Bunny background paper, I trimmed to cover the page.  I also used washi tape I found at Target along with our ticket stubs and baggage claim off my suitcase.  This was a flight to South Dakota.  I used the letter stickers for the title and also on the picture I took on the flight.  Can't believe we really were Somewhere Over the Rainbow.

Hello Gorgeous - SMASH Page

Image
I used a shopping bag from Torrid for the background, some cut outs I cut out a couple years ago, and pictures of my cousin and I shopping last summer.  Miss her!

Las Vegas - SMASH Page

Image
This is in the Red Doodle Style but I covered the pages.  I also used some junk mail from a Ford ad.  Loved the fold and decided to use it in my book.  I had to paint one of the pages because I couldn't figure out how to add paper to cover the trucks.  I also used a walmart bag dipped in red paint, to add a pop of red over the black paint.  I covered all the sides and was able to add more pics! I also used some leftover Vegas stickers, left over paper from another page, and rip outs from brochures. I'm in love with this page.  Covered one of the pics for privacy.
