Rock, Paper, Scissors, & Scrap

A girl on a group I'm on, used a plastic hanger.  I had an empty pants hanger in my closet and put about 90% of my washi on it.  Now to organize it by color!

My first SMASHbook was the International Style SMASHbook.  I went thru it and added things to every page that I had in my stash of travel items.  I had some left overs from visiting NASA in Houston and added to the page.

Used my fave smash book, the Tasty Style, for these two pages.  LOVE me some Dippin' Dots.  I also used the CTMH Artbooking Cricut Cartridge for the pink background overlay, and the title of Just Chillin. I used trash that came with some journal cards, made a little border in the corner, and made some banners.

My friends little girl wanted SMASHbooking stuff for her birthday.  A gal after my own heart right there!!!  So I got her a bunch of little things and a book.  Made her this card to match the Owl bag I found.

I used so many old things on this page.  We hardly ever get snow!  I have saved these metal brads for years and years.  Never get to use snow flakes.  I got them from Oriental Trading.  The stickers I bought from ABC.  Used one of the journal tags from the Christmas SMASH Bundle.  Also used 12x12 paper I bought at the dollar store, I hadn't even opened yet. PS Took these pics on Sunday, already SMASHED!!!!  Feels so good!

Random pics from the mall....it was my birthday so it was fun to get in some Christmas pics in too.

I was only going to use this years Christmas pictures in this book but I had to include this story in this book.  I love going to this house every year and can't wait till this year.  I used my new stamps and some digital printables from Pinterest.  Love the underear saying! lol

I've been seeing the Snow Man Door allllllllllll over Pinterest, so I have no idea who to credit for the first idea. I used my old Creative Memories circle cutter for this.  I used the large circle with the red blade on the outside and cut two for the eyes.  Then the inside of the CM cutter, I used the blue blade and cut 8 small circles. For the hat, it is just a 12x12 piece of black paper.  I added a 2 inch cut of red paper.  Then out of another 12x12 piece of black paper, cut two inch sections, and added to the sides.  For the nose, I just cut a triangle out of orange paper.  I attached with clear tape and my mom gave me that big red bow. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!

I just had to make a SMASH page out of it.  I used my square punch to make the black and white checks even though you can't really see them since I covered it up.  I saved images off the net to match my picture of me in my Pink Ladies shirt I scored at Old Navy last month for $3.00!!!!!

You know anytime families get together, stress happens.  Funny moments too, even when I thought I broke 3 toes, just got to laugh it off right?  No I needed to come home and color just for a bit.  The Jump In smash book layout I didn't have leaves pictures because, it is hardly fall here still hahah. I had saved a couple Betty Boop coloring pages off of Facebook and printed them at 4x6.  Used my Stampin Up colored pencils and made a page using some old Recollections paper I had. I also used some We R Memory Keepers journal cards. For the title, used more letter stickers I've had forever.  Will I ever use all these up?? lol

The Christmas Scrapbook Bug has hit me hard!!!!  I have always hating scrapping Christmas but had so much this morning remembering last year and the great time we had.  Did 6 layouts!!!  So excited to feel a tad caught up - whatever that means! lol

We went to The Disney Store and I always have to look, never buy anything.  BUT, this time their 14.95 ornaments were 2 for $16 and I just couldn't pass having some Disney on my tree! I covered up the first two pages in the Christmas SMASH book because I didn't like them.  I cut up the bag for the comic look.  The Mickey and Minnie were way to big to smash, so I took pictures of them, cut them to 3.5x5 size and cut them out.  I cut out the Disney Store logos from the bag and added an old paint chip from Home Depot and my receipt with some old Christmas Stickers I think from Target Dollar Spot a long time ago.

I have a ton of scraps laying around from other scrapbook projects.  I cut some of the red into about half inch strips.  I used a quilling tool and wrapped them up.  I let it unroll slightly before putting them in an ornament.  I had these bling buckles from Oriental Trading I have had for years and ran some black ribbon through.  I used my ATG gun to attach the ribbon to the ornament.  You could easily use bling to fake the buckle though.

My Dog Nibbler needed a special place in the house.  So by his food and water bowl, I decorated his corner. I used a coupon at Michael's to get the frame 50% off for a scrapbook page I did of him and I bought a shadow box.  I used my Cricut Word Collage but flipped the image in CCR.  I put the vinyl on the inside of the glass, for easy cleaning.  I also, used some of his treats, and glued to the back of the frame. Then I used my Cricut Lyrical Letters Cart - with the LoopDeeLoo font for his name.  Hate their is no commas on the carts, so I made my own.  I used the Mickey and Friends cart for the paw prints.

I can't wait to get a picture of my fiance and I kissing at Christmas Time!  Today only, for FREE, in Cricut Craft Room, you can get this card. I put the paper on the 6 inch line, because I didn't want a card.  I used three different papers, one for the front, the background, and then cut another front but cut out the silhouette of the couple and used pop dots to make them stand out. I can't wait to use this for a SMASH Book!

I decorated the front 4 pages in the Christmas SMASH Book!  I hope I fill this whole book this year!

I can't believe I already have my tree up!  But, we found one at a decent price, and we both were excited and put it up last night.  Of course I took pics. I wish the tree was the first in the book but oh well, love the random order of my smashbooking. I bought some wrapping tape in the Dollar Spot at Target and put that on the front and back of the book, in the middle, I used the washi that came with the Christmas SMASH Bundle. Then I smashed our pictures from last night and used a little of everything I've collected.  These little gift card holders, I wanted to use in my book.  LOVE the scratch off!  So I wrote a little note and scratched it off.  On this page, the picture of the tree opens up for more pictures.

My friend, fiance, and I did a craft fair in January - it was soooo cold!  I also used big pictures and ran out of room quickly, so used flip ups to add more pics.

We don't watch football, so I covered up the first game of the season page with pictures of us when we went to The Farmers Market in LA.

I had made a card off the Cricut Craft Room when they had a free cartridge for a week.  I also didn't have small pictures so was able to get the pops your top and the dad image off the page and added it to the other page.

I used a RAK I received of a dress form, buttons, and spools to complete this layout.  I accidently smashed MOthers Day in another SMASH book so used my fave pic of my mom and I on this layout.  I added some lace on roll by Recollections around the picture, the dress form, and spool.  I also used some We R Memory Keepers for Project Life but I like them for my SMASHING.

I used an app to make a photo collage and then cut it up.  These are my moms roses that grow every year and she doesn't do anything to them.  They are so pretty.  The stickers I used are from my very first online order to stickerplanet a million years ago!

OK I don't think these pics were taken in 2013 but I'm pretending. LOL  I didn't want to reprint these SMASH size so made the top two photos flip up so you can see the EARTH Title and added some smash quote things behind it.

I used the Chip Decor cartridge but it didn't quite fit.  Ended up tracing the cross and attaching after I painted the cross brown.  I used 3 types of ribbon to finish it off and think it will go great on the wall.

I bought the Cricut Chip Decor cartridge but was sad that it didn't have lower case.  So I traced the letters and embossed them with my Big Shot.  I painted the chipboard red and then used Mod Podge to attach the letters.  I let it dry and used two ribbons and tied a bow. I can't wait to have this on my wall by my Christmas Tree!!!

I found the Smashing Pumpkins image in a magazine and covered the SMASH page with it.  I used some Reflections cards, some scrap pumpkin paper, old Jolee's Pumpkin stickers, and the little tabs were left overs from the reflection stack.  I saved them and just cut them to look like banners.  I also used some washi from that site that does deals every day.  I LOVE how this page turned out!  So wish I would have carved a pumpkin this year :( Just ran out of time.  But I'm loving my Thanksgiving Pumpkin.

I had some left over Cricut cuts from a free for a week cartridge called South West.  (So need to buy that!)  We went to a place in town I always wanted to go to called  The Prime Desert Woodland Preserve.  Great paths for walking and beautiful Joshua Trees!!! I used the Pzap app on facebook for a photo collage.  Added some SMASH stamp stickers, some SMASH clips, the Live It Up was from a pack at Michaels Reflections Brand, and the date sticker and details sticker was from Oh Snap!  Love how you can mix up all the brands in SMASH booking!

Evceryone keeps requesting more Hello Kitty Ornaments, so I made a few more smaller ones, and a couple large ones.

I love making ornaments with vinyl using my Cricut!  Super cute and fun.  I went through my ribbon stash and found loads of Christmas Ribbon I forgot I had!  I also had bought some favor boxes at Dollar Tree, that fit the ornaments perfectly.  I stamped Merry Christmas on the front and can't wait to give these as Christmas Presents.  I used the Artiste Cartridge and sometimes it was difficult to put them on a curved surface but got out my hair dryer to stretch the vinyl just a bit to make it work.
